We HEAR: A Night of Culinary Superstars is Coming to Revere

We’re already salivating over the Boston stop of the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America®: “Local Flavor from Coast To Coast,” national epicurean tour which will make its way into the hub on October 24th! This unique (and delicious) celebration of America’s culinary diversity will descend onto the hotel with two amazing foodie experiences; including a tasting reception from a line-up of local chefs, followed by a one-night-only, collaborative four-course dinner crafted by a Taste America All-Star and a local celebrity chef.

A weekend-long tour, Boston’s Taste America itinerary will kick off on Friday, October 24 at Revere with A Night of Culinary Stars, an exclusive dining event benefiting the James Beard Foundation. The evening will begin with a reception filled with bites and libations from local chefs, including Aaron Chambers of Bar Boulud Boston, Mary Dumont of Harvest, Michael Leviton of Lumière, Michael Scelfo of Alden & Harlow, and Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks. Afterwards, guests will be seated for an exceptional dinner prepared by Taste America All-Star Ludo Lefebvre of Trois Mec, Petite Trois and Ludo Bird (Los Angeles), and Local Star Jamie Bissonnette* of Toro & Coppa (Boston & New York), who have been paired together to create a one-of-a-kind menu diners won’t forget.

This truly is the culinary event of the year and we are both thrilled and honored to be hosting! Tickets will sell out quickly and can be purchased at  http://www.jbftasteamerica.org/event/boston

We SMELL: The Cooking Show at Rustic Kitchen Cooks up a new Studio

Chef Liz Bramwell of The Cooking Show takes on a new studio

Revere’s on-property restaurant, Rustic Kitchen has become infamous for its interactive cooking experience, appropriately titled – The Cooking Show.  For years, this unique dining experience, where meals are prepared as part of a recorded-for-television cooking demonstration, have taken place in an intimate state-of-the-art kitchen setting inside the restaurant.  The demand has far outgrown the supply and therefore The Cooking Show has expanded to a brand new space, directly next door to the restaurant.  This brand new built out studio is outfitted with a complete array of cooking appliances, multiple HD robotic cameras and monitors so that each audience member can see all of the action and they can record all of the fun! Most importantly, more seating to satiate your hunger! It’s dinner and show like you’ve never experienced!

During September and October the show’s lively host, chef Liz Bramwell, will be preparing Executive Chef Michael Kelly’s roasted cider glazed duck breast with an autumn panzanella salad of grilled bread, roasted squash, apples, grapes and crumbled goat cheese. There will also be wild mushroom soup with white truffle crostini and a wine pairing of Kenwood Yulupa Zinfandel. Filming and dinner are scheduled every Friday night starting at 7:00pm at Rustic Kitchen’s Park Square location. Tickets range in price from $80 and $90, depending on where you’d like to sit, and can be purchased here, before they sell out, that is. Scoop yours up to be part of the (lights, camera) action.
